To enrol in this qualification you must be able to demonstrate vocational competence in your proposed training and assessing area. Vocational competence is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification in the area you wish to train and assess in. Each student may be required to undertake an eligibility assessment process to determine their existing vocational competency. The eligibility assessment process will require students to supply copies of their resume along with verified copies of qualifications showing their vocational competencies as a trainer / assessor in their chosen industry. This will be followed by an interview with an AITT Trainer / Assessor (Ref: Training and Assessment Staff below) to determine the level of prior competency. All students enrolling with AITT undertake a pre-enrolment and LLN assessment. If it is determined that assistance is required, AITT can offer advice of alternate learning pathways or refer students to other support, which may include an LLN specialist that will assist them to undertake the relevant qualification of study.
