AITT’s dual qualification in Business and Work Skills equips participants with the practical capabilities needed to thrive in modern workplaces.

This program combines two nationally recognised qualifications, and is available at two different levels – Certificate III or Certificate IV:

Learners build confidence, professional behaviours and digital capability through engaging, real-world learning experiences, including interactive modules and scenario-based projects designed to mirror genuine workplace expectations.

Designed with input from over 80 industry groups, this program prepares young learners for future study, part-time work, traineeships and entry-level career opportunities.

The key difference is the level of complexity, responsibility, and independence expected of you.

Delivered directly within your workplace or organisation

Training and assessment are tailored to your workplace policies, procedures, culture, and operational goals

At AITT’s Campus

Delivered at an AITT campus in a face-to-face or blended format

A 6-month pathway is available to adult learners with prior learning experience. School-based students typically require a minimum of 1 to 2 school years (approximately 7 terms) to achieve the nominal hours.

Pricing may vary for schools, organisations or customised delivery.

If a student withdraws before the course confirmation letter is issued, all fees paid will be refunded.

AITT will not collect more than $1,500 AUD upfront.

Total prepaid fees will not exceed $1,500 AUD.

Refunds after course confirmation but before commencement incur a 50% administration fee.

No refunds after course commencement for self-funded students.

Full refunds apply if AITT cancels or defers the course and the new date is unsuitable.

To enrol in this qualification, you must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen. Failure to declare an accurate residential status during enrolment may result in your enrolment being revoked and no award being issued.
You must have basic digital literacy skills, including the ability to send and receive emails, use word-processing programs, manage files, browse the internet, join online meetings, and use presentation software such as PowerPoint.
All participants will be required to complete an ACSF aligned language, literacy and numeracy assessment. The purpose of the assessment is to gauge suitability and support requirements. You must have passed Year 10 literacy/numeracy or equivalent (or currently be enrolled in Year 10 literacy/numeracy or equivalent). Where participants do not meet LLN requirements and AITT is unable to provide the necessary support, all fees paid will be refunded in full.

Vocational competence is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification in the area you wish to train and assess in. Each student may be required to undertake an eligibility assessment process to determine their existing vocational competency. The eligibility assessment process will require students to supply copies of their resume along with verified copies of qualifications showing their vocational competencies as a trainer / assessor in their chosen industry. This will be followed by an interview with an AITT Trainer / Assessor (Ref: Training and Assessment Staff below) to determine the level of prior competency. All students enrolling with AITT undertake a pre-enrolment and LLN assessment. If it is determined that assistance is required, AITT can offer advice of alternate learning pathways or refer students to other support, which may include an LLN specialist that will assist them to undertake the relevant qualification of study.
